Safeguarding

All ES CAMPS team members have a “duty of care” for the students who come to our school.
This means making sure that the students feel safe and cared for at all times. Safeguarding involves building relationships of trust between under 18s and adults, ensuring appropriately safe systems are in place for the well- being of our students and having clear procedures in place if things do go wrong. As part of the Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy, ES CAMPS will:

• Promote and prioritize the safety and wellbeing of children.
• Ensure everyone is aware of their roles and responsibilities with respect to safeguarding and is provided with the resources and appropriate learning opportunities to recognize, identify and respond to signs of abuse, neglect and other safeguarding concerns relating to children.
• Ensure appropriate action is taken in the event of incidents/concerns of abuse and that support is provided to the individual/s who raise or disclose the concern.
• Ensure that confidential, detailed and accurate records of all safeguarding concerns are maintained and securely stored.
• Prevent the employment of unsuitable individuals.
• Ensure robust safeguarding arrangements and procedures are in operation.
• Every ES CAMPS team member is in a position of trust and everyone has a duty of care to ensure that students are happy and kept safe at all times.
